Already Been Breeched?
In the event that your phone system has been impacted by a breech, please also reach out to your SIP Trunk provider.
Using a Form of Multi-Factor Authentication
We recommend as a security measure to enable a form of Multi-Factor Authentication. At this time, we currently offer two different methods, regular Multi-Factor Authentication and Microsoft Enabled Single Sign-on.
Please refer to the corresponding articles for further guidance:
Extension Hacked
If you have an extension that was logged into by an unwanted user, the passwords associated with that user can be regenerated. This option does allow for multiple users to have their passwords regenerated at the same time, should you choose to do so as a precautionary measure.
For guidance on Regenerating Passwords for extensions, please refer to our Regenerating Passwords article.
Spam Calls
If you are receiving bothersome spambot calls, these calls can be blocked from calling into the phone system. For guidance on doing this, please refer to our Blocking Unwanted Numbers article.
Unwanted IP Connections
If you are seeing attempted sign-ins for the phone system from a specific IP address or range of IPs, this can be addressed by blacklisting the IPs.
For guidance on doing this, please refer to our Blacklisting IPs article. Alternatively, you can also whitelist specific IPs as shown in our Whitelisting IPs article.
