Manual Provisioning Notice
Grandstream phones can only be manually provisioned. Zero Touch Provisioning is not available with these devices.
Device Use Notice
Due to the temperamental nature of these phones, bvoip does not recommend provisioning these phones with our system.
Why Factory Reset?
For best practices with provisioning phones, we recommend factory resetting all used phones to prevent conflicting phone settings from stalling the process. When reset, the firmware will be updated and the configuration file will be accessed, pulling the provisioning details from the phone system.
Factory Resetting a Grandstream
- Go to the Menu by clicking on the round button.
- Go to System.
- Scroll down to the Operations option.
- Select the Factory Reset option.
It will take several minutes for the factory reset process to be completed. Once the IP phone is factory reset, you must follow our article Manually Provisioning Grandstream Phones.
To Factory Reset from the Device's Online Management System
- Enter the Phone interface by searching the phone IP on the browser.
- Click Factory Reset in the upper-right corner.
The factory reset will then process. It will take several minutes for the factory reset process to be completed. Once the IP phone is factory reset, you must assign a template to an extension in the bvoip phone system.
