Check the Outbound Rules

Ensure that the outbound rules are correct as shown in our outbound rule articles.

Test Call with Softphone

Doing a test call with the softphone will determine if this is an issue with the phone setup or with the hard phone itself.

Phone Provisioned Incorrectly

If the desired device is not provisioned correctly, this can prevent calls from being made over all. Please refer to our hard phone implementation guide as well as our phone provisioning troubleshooting guide

Outbound Caller ID for SIPTrunk

Ensuring that the caller ID is correct under the Caller ID tab under the Call Flow > SIP Trunk section of the phone system is another step that will assure that the SIP Trunk is communicating properly.

In most cases, the outbound caller ID will be the main DID from your SIP Trunk, however, if you have custom Caller ID, please reach out to your SIPTrunk provider to confirm that the caller ID listed is correct.

SIPTrunk Issues

If there are issues with dialing out and all settings look correct, we recommend that you consider reaching out to your SIP Trunk provider to see if there is an issue on their end.

Blacklist Check

Ensure that the connecting local IP is not listed in the bvoip phone system's blacklist. For a walkthrough on how to do this, please refer to our Blacklisting IPs article.

In a Trial with bvoip?

If you are in a trial account with bvoip are using a SIPTRUNK.com demo trunk, you will only be able to make inbound calls for upto 500 minutes. The demo trunk for this provider does not allow for outbound calls.
