Ordering Numbers through SIPTrunk.com

This article will provide a walkthrough on how to order phone numbers through the SIPTrunk.com portal.

Is the SIPTrunk Account Active?

To order numbers in the SIPTrunk.com portal, there must be an active SIP plan in place. For assistance with setting up an active SIPTrunk account, please refer to the following articles:

Video Walkthrough

 
 
  1. Click on the SIP Trunking section.
  2. Go to Order Telephone Numbers
  3. Choose a tab below based on your desired number type

Standard Number

E911

This number type does not have E911 capabilities

 
  1. Click Begin Search under the Standard Local DID section.
  2. Select the desired state from the dropdown list. 
  3. Select the desired area code from the dropdown list. A list of cities will appear. 
  4. Click on the desired city to display the available phone numbers for that zone
    1. This is the city that will show on the caller ID screen for modern cell phones
  5. Select the checkbox(es) beside the desired number(s).
  6. Choose Standard for each number
  7. On the left, fill out the CNAM, which is your text-based caller ID
  8. Click the Review Order button. The page will refresh and provide an outline of the phone numbers being purchased.
  9. Click on the Process Order button.
 
 

E911 Enhanced

  1. Click Begin Search under the Standard/Enhanced Local DID section.
  2. Select the desired state from the dropdown list. 
  3. Select the desired area code from the dropdown list. A list of cities will appear. 
  4. Click on the desired city to display the available phone numbers for that zone
    1. This is the city that will show on the caller ID screen for modern cell phones
  5. Select the checkbox(es) beside the desired number(s).
  6. Choose Enhanced for each number
  7. On the left, fill out the CNAM and emergency address fields
  8. Click the Review Order button. The page will refresh and provide an outline of the phone numbers being purchased.
  9. Click on the Process Order button.

Toll-Free

Cost Notice

Toll-Free number usage is billed per-minute, so make sure you have a prepaid balance and auto-recharge in place for this.

 
  1. Click Begin Search under the Toll Free DID (TF) section.
  2. Select the desired 833/888/etc code from the dropdown list.
  3. Select the checkbox(es) beside the desired number(s).
  4. On the left, fill out the CNAM field for text caller ID
  5. Click the Review Order button. The page will refresh and provide an outline of the phone numbers being purchased.
  6. Click on the Process Order button.
