Configuration Notice

The instructions here are specific for an Algo 8201 PoE Intercom device, but the setup will be similar to any other intercom device.

The Device Configuration Phases

  1.  Build out an extension for the device.
  2.  Add Paging group.
  3. Add extension to the paging group.
  4.  Manually configure device.

Configuring the Device

  1. Log into the device.
  2. In the SIP Domain field, input the proxy address for the phone system. If you are not sure what this is, please reach out to bvoip support. Do not place a port in this field.
  3. In the SIP Extension field, input the extension number.
  4. In the Authentication ID field, input the Authentication ID found in the Extension settings under the Security tab.
  5. In the Authentication Password field, input the Authentication Password found in the Extension settings under the Security tab.
  6. In the Display Name field, input the desired name for the device. We recommend the same name that is listed on the extension.
  7. In the Extension to Dial field, input the paging group extension number.
  8. Click the Save button, reboot the device and test.

Advanced Settings and Outbound Proxies

Outbound Proxies set on the device will usually be listed under Advanced Settings. As with the SIP Domain Proxy, please reach out to bvoip support for the correct proxy settings for your system.
